VITO

Almost forever ago I went camping down the south coast with the boyfriend... attached are a few of the happy snaps taken in one of my favorite south coast towns, Milton.

They were shot on my Voitlander VITO. If your thinking about investing in a VITO ( you should they take a amazing photo) and would like to check out some other results click here, here or here

Cross Processing

So i just had a few rolls of slide film cross processed... most of which came out red.... the lower the speed film the red'er they'll go apparently and I was shooting with 100 speed, silly me. Kodachrome 400 is the best for a even albeit slightly saturated effect ala these photos I took in Cambodia a few years ago... but stumbling across a roll is proving harder than finding a needle in a haystack.

A few of the results attached. Would love to hear about some of your cross processing endeavours... post stories and or links below.

Queenland floods...

Hello world. If you have not heard the majority of the east coast of Australia is currently under water. From northern Qld right down to Grafton in NSW, with Victoria on high alert we are one soggy nation at the moment. I know horrible natural disasters happen the world over every day.... and heres the skinny on what this one is doing to us.

19,700 properties are flooded, 2100 roads and streets are blocked, Brisbane CBD is currently 5.5m underwater surpassing the 1974 peak of 5.45m. 70,000people in southeast Queensland are without power. Numbers aside people have watched from the momentary safety of roofs as their possessions (and often loved ones) were swept away. 100's are reported missing and 15 have been confirmed dead.

If you would like to make a donation to the Red Cross who are currently assisting victims in the area please please, please click here

Olympus trip. Olympos turkey

So I shot 1 or two rolls on my new Olympus trip on a recent jaunt to Lord Howe Island over xmas. I am yet to get the rolls developed but I am really looking fwd / really scared about getting my first roll back... as its a new (as in really really old) camera - will it be filled with beautiful accidents such as darkened edges and saturated colors or will the whole roll be black?

I'll be sure to let you know next week, but if all goes well I'll be taking the Olympis trip to Turkey this year where Ill be stopping in the beautiful city of Olympos for a week... As you can see from the beautiful colors in the shots above, found here on flickr, its going to be hard to take a bad photo!
